The world mission society church of God

Standards for Worship

Matthew 22:1-14 “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son… But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. ‘Friend,’ he asked, ‘how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ The man was speechless. Then the king told the attendants, “Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth’…”

In the above words spoken by Jesus, it is clear that there are regulations for God’s people to wear wedding clothes to enter the heavenly wedding banquet. Likewise, when we worship God, there are certain regulations: women should wear veils and men should not cover their heads.

All women of the Church of God wear veils during worship services, according to the teachings of Second Coming Christ Ahnsahnghong.
God gave us this veil regulation as a sign representing God’s authority. Even though this regulation seems minor, it cannot be neglected. All regulations given by God are for our salvation. Although this practice seems unfamiliar, Apostle Paul addressed this question to the Early Church many years ago:

1 Corinthians 11:1-16 Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ… Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man… Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is just as though her head were shaved… If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no other practice—nor do the churches of God.
For this reason, you will find women wearing veils and men not covering their heads during worship service at the Church of God.
