God's Mediators, Saints [WMSCOG]

The Catholic Church puts up their saints as the mediators between God and people, and teaches that when they pray to the saints, they can have help that they cannot receive in any other ways. The saints worship of the Catholic Church has more meaning than simply respecting and commemorating the life of saints.

The Catholic Churches in Europe are decorated with various kinds of statues of saints.
Each church is full of statues of saints that were made over o few centuries; its number reaches at least 2,000, and 4,000 at the most.

There is a huge Peter's statue in bronze beside the main alter of the St. Peter's Basilica.
The reason its right foot is badly worn down is because traditionally pilgrims kiss the foot or touch it to pray.
In 1857, Pope Pius IX granted an Indulgence to anyone who kissed the foot of the statue. From that time on, people visit this place, having the belief that they will be forgiven of their sins or their dreams will come true when they touch Peter's foot.

This Roman Catholic Church’s idea of “saint veneration” is wholly inherited from the idea of polytheistic paganism. God clearly warns the believers in the bible "You shall have no other gods before me”. This is the very first commandment given by God. No such teachings of deifying and worshiping the Saints can be found in the Bible.

-The world mission society church of God[WMSCOG] doesn't worship any kinds of idols.

  1. If Peter comes this age and look at this scene that people worship him, how is he going to feel?

  2. Saint worship is no in the Bible. It came from pagan in Rome, not God.
